CROSS STITCHIN'

This is a close up of the swan in the next picture (sorry about the lighting).

A Swan, I cross stitched, befitting for a princess....Emily....My Lily.

1ST BORN GRANDSON

I can't forget Emily's older brother, Warren. I cross stitched this blanket for him when he was born 4 years ago! I bought two of the blankets, fringed and tied them together for a nice backing to cover-up the back-stitching.

FOR MAMA

I cross stitched this using "Silk Nori" floss on 32-count linen. Before and after framing shown. The mother of pearl buttons were from my Grandmother's button stash she gave me in 1971! It was exciting to use the buttons on this project for my mother who cared for my grandma in her home for +- ten years!!! I did it honor of Mother's Day and Mom's birthday, she will be "75" in October. It matches her living room walls which my sister and I painterly washed the same color a few years ago. I like how the acrostic spells our "MOTHER." God bless my mother!
