Estes Park Wool Festival - Part Three continued

Okay, where was I? I was almost late to church this morning, this yarn stuff can really get me into trouble, but I did arrive early. And hopefully I will get through my postings for this event!

So, here I am getting my pic with Judy L. Ditmore of Interlacements and purchasing!

Whole lot of felting going on in several places. These dolls were being oooed and ahhhed over. I had to ask persons to please let me get a shot in, and they were very polite to let me in!

The Orenberg lace(green scarf) and Quivet(Blue labels) were so kinetic, much pawing and ahhhhing! And, what was that self striping laceweight called!@#$? I am dying here! All high end, but reasonable in the Skaska Designs Limited booth.

Oh, I forgot about the roving in the the llama tent, this Paco-Vicunas roving, especially breed....Tamara and I swore it had silk in it, so how do you cross a silk worm with a llama? How do you not want to stop touching it or buy it ($25.00 an ounce, duh)! LOL We thought it might be superb to Quivet? These babies were very well cared for!

Estes Park Wool Market - The Market - Part Three

It was so much bigger than I remembered from , what, like 15 years ago? I went and bought some beautiful Ironstone mohain in a rich sapphire blue with glorious fleck of pink, white and black.

Fast forward to 2007, WOW, Dorothy, I don't think were in Kansas anymore, so much more to see. I totally was so frenzied at Brooks Farm, I forgot to take pictures, or did I?

This first booth had the cutest stuff to collect and the yarn was great also.

Then I came across some vintage collectables, I saw this mag and thought, yeap, I remember doing my hair that way, which to me describes the ultimate bad hair day!

And then the little porcelains and glass sheep, just too cute.

Interlacements, yes, there's Judy L. Ditmore in the bottom right-hand corner! I love her yarns! The mohair just barely, barely sheds and the colors are trippin' the light fantastic! People were moving fast in her booth! She was printing off patterns like crazy!

Estes Park Wool Festival, The Animals - Part Two

Okay, I was in love with all the animals. I could have stayed with the animals the whole time, forget the yarn....Did I say that? I just love these animals. My husband keeps investigating investing in these animals one day. Yes, it would be nice to put my English Shepard to work. But I was very sad to not see any goats, maybe they were there, and of course, I did not ask. I am such a ditsy person that way, always forgetting the important stuff.

But gosh, just one look at their eyes and I just want to take them all home. I talked to them all and they too, agreed I would be nice to come home with and to love.

And then there was this stylin' one just strutin' the walkway, ever so unique, you'd think he'd won it all just in looks alone! He remined me of my childhood doggy, Willie, the pekingese, same coloring and ooooh , those adorable brown eyes!

What about this freshly shampooed llama? What a glorious color he was!

Estes Park Wool Festival 2007 -Part One, Arrival

A glorious warm day on arrival, we had fantastic skies, and the company was jovial.
Hubbie was insisting on me to tak pictures of the kiakers in the beautiful lake across the highway, and I had to laugh and explain to him again, today is all about the yarn!

Socks for Soldiers and emails

I took a leap and joined socks for soldiers in honor of my son, Josh, who is currently serving in the Air Force Reserves. He also is in federal security for the Air Force. He's a cool dude, for you single women out there, he's interested in a long term relationship/marriage!!!(smile, Josh) I am going to knit two pairs by July, that will be pressing it, but thank God, it's a simple, straightforward sock pattern!

So it's been a hard withdrawal not having a camera around. I am going to dig out my old Pentex 35mm or pic up a disposable for Estes Park Wool Market. I am so excited about going to this event. The last time I went was clear back when it first started and I had just moved to Wyoming or had been there a year or two! Let's see, it's 17 years old, I moved to Wyoming in 1984, opps, I guess I am not figuring right. Let's see, 2007 minus seventeen years, that would be 1990, okay, it was when I moved to Laramie, Wyoming and had been living there about a year! What's a few years off, lol. Really, everything seems to go by so fast when your stitchin' away!

The Denver Downtown Stitchin' and Bitchin' Group announces:

What: WORLD WIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY!

When: Saturday, June 9 at 1:00PM

Where: Skyline Park
16th & Arapahoe outside of Corner Bakery

Might have to ask Patty and Tam if they want to go hang out with other crazy knitters!

So, please, some of you have and if you have not, if you would love to receive a gift in honor of m blogiversary, please email me at the above address or include your email in your comment! I promise not to do anything with your address other than to email you where to send gifts!
