DO WAH DITTY DITTY DUM DITTY YEAH

THERE SHE WAS, JUSTA KNITTIN' AWAY....
Very cool evening yesterday. Went to the Lamb Shoppe to Vickie Howell's booksigning and yarn tasting. She is so fresh, cute and little! The girl is adorably tiny! Her yarn is fantastic, you can browse it at the Southwest Trading Company. I loved the Love in the "Sarah and Maurice" denim blue color (the site swatch does not do decency to the color, it was a fabulous shade and it appears dull and dark here). I would definetly make a summer top out of it.

Vickie is modeling a cute shrug in which the body is knit and the sleeves are crocheted. It will be in her new book, coming out in October, 2007. She told us the book would incorporate the past eight seasons! She had a cool bag full of her handmade goodies to touch. My friend Tamara and I got to ask her a few questions and we found out she was born in Broomfield and learned to knit at the age of 7, but wasn't all that interested in it. I asked her if she was going to get a spot in Julia Robert's new movie and she told us she really wanted to. she also told us that anytime we were in Burbank and she was taping we were invited to come on and knit! Oooooo, Tam and I looked at each other and thought, ROADTRIP! Shops in California....lots of fun.
