Biggest pair of socks I have ever made!

Applause! They are not only the biggest but I think, for the size, understand, the fastest pair of socks I have ever knit! I started the June 13, 2007 and finished them yesterday, June 24, 2007.

Then, I let some time slip by! I forgot to post my stash I traded from my friend Tamara. Yes, she had some greens (she calls them the swampy things) Oh boy, 8 skeins of Debbie Bliss Chunky Tweed! The reason I bought Debbie Stoller's Stitch 'n bitch , for Jenna Wilson's "big sack sweater." Thanks Jenna for the awesome directions on adjusting a pattern for width! Then there is some of Tamara's homespun on the bottom, with a little left overs from some sock I made last month that I thought it may match. And she threw in some chenille and some great cotton Sisu. I haven't a clue what to do with the "wormy" chenille! But that cottton will maybe make that darling shrug Stacy Charles Spring 2006 Crochet cover! No wonder I haven't been bloggin', besides all the business of summer, gardening.

Ha, I got some fine gardening photos! My black holly hocks are coming into a full bloom and the tiger lilies(I love saying that) are poppin' out all over! The daisies started blooming yesterday but I haven't given them a shot!

Last night I started the second of a series of three socks for Socks for Soldiers(please hit the button in my right column and sign up for this great opportunity to serve our servicemen!). The third sock is casual in some yummy melon colors I won by talkin' up about a worst job ever! I don't know if I can talk about it on here....Anyway, I have to get back to the second pair, I almost have the cuff on! Enough already!

Cool on the socks!

I have that pattern book and have contemplated that shrug several times, but something tells me I am not going to look like the model wearing it (LOL).

Those black poppies are gorgeous!
Where did you girls get your Christian blogger button? May I steal it please? No bandwidth of course.
