Carousel to Couzemel

My girlfriend, Patty and I did an exchange today! She brought me belated birthday stash!!! Paton's Grace, J P Coats Royale Gemini Double Crochet (I love the color of the green and blue varigated), and a great stash bag and a beautiful handmade card! And I gave her a going on vacation Carousel Tank with matching necklace and earrings!!! I loved it, she loved it, we were all lovy!

I started the tank last night after downloading the granny square of the month. My group, Granny Squares, on Ravelry decided we needed to do a square of the month! I cna't believe it took me about 8 hours to make it! Well, this is the square and what I did with it last night and this morning! It inspired me to make a matching necklace and earring set for her, she's such a doll!!! Plus, she loves my dog, Tipsy and Tipsy adores her for faithfully bringing her treats!!!!! We love you Patty!!! So I entitled the jewelry, Carousel Set!!!

The Carousel Tank is based on the Carousel Square pattern by by Priscilla Hewitt ©1999. I had to modify the square, I did not think it was written correctly. I really admire Pricilla's work!

Theyarn is TLC Wiggles in red and yellow. The yarn is a bit difficult to crochet, but I think it was very suitable for this style of garment!

Wow, I love that tank. What a clever idea to put a granny square on it, and it's such a pretty square! The jewelry is lovely, too.
