MAKE YOUR MAN SMILE

Hubby was happy it is Friday and decided to wear his new Gentleman's Socks from Nancy Bush's Vintage Socks. You can see the faux seaming carried the length of the sock. He told me they felt very nice. I describe the socks in earlier posts.

Hi Terri Lynn,

many thanks for your nice comments in my blog "knit-and-relax". It is a great pleasure for me to share my hobby with knitters from all over the world.
I like your blog, too. Wonderful socks and hats that you made in the last days. I have the book "Vintage Socks" since the end of january and I want to knit nearly every pair of socks of it.
By the way, you asked me about the yarn I used for my Lady E: it is Scala from Junghans-Wolle with 6mm-needles(use the following link:

http://www.junghanswolle.de/shop/SID_72CmjkkAppAiKo5XrXBh9oncstr2/F=produkt_formular/P=01_D_HPN220418/SUCHTEXT=scala/SUCHTEXT_EINGABE=scala/ID_SEITE=1/MODUS_SEITENANSICHT=/LINKTRACKER=volltextsuche

The gauge is a little smaller than with noro, but I knitted with 56 sticks (it is about 53 cm wide).

It was a nice visit to your blog, it won't be my last.

Till then happy knitting and greetings from Germany.
Susanne

Hi Terri Lynn,
thanks for your promptly comment - yes, the yarn I used for Lady E is lightweight and I knitted with 5 mm-needles.
By the way: what a wonderful yarn-store you have in Denver. It looks so traditional and what a variety of yarns they have.
I hope you enjoyed the event today.
Happy knitting
Susanne
